About the Opportunity
At ClearGov, we're revolutionizing how local governments and school districts manage and communicate their finances through easy-to-use yet powerful digital products. Our modern digital products transform complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. We're seeking a talented Graphic/UI Designer to join our design team and help shape the visual language of our products and brand. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact by creating designs that not only look great but also enhance the user experience for thousands of public sector professionals.

Key Responsibilities
At ClearGov, visual design is the bridge between complex financial information and user-friendly interfaces. As our Graphic Designer, you'll work alongside our product designers to bring clarity and appeal to our solutions, while also supporting our marketing efforts to communicate our value proposition effectively, drive sales, and fuel new customer growth.
- Collaborate with product designers to create visually appealing and effective user interfaces for our financial and budgeting SaaS applications
- Design intuitive visual components and design patterns that enhance the usability of our product suite
- Develop marketing materials that align with and reinforce our recently refreshed brand identity, supporting sales initiatives and customer acquisition
- Assist in maintaining and documenting our product design system and brand guidelines
- Help support and document design system components under guidance from product designers
- Produce sales and marketing materials, including website updates, presentations, and event collateral to drive business growth
- Implement and maintain brand consistency across all design work
- Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive product prototypes using Figma
Critical Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate for this role will bring a blend of technical skills, creative talent, and collaborative spirit. These qualities are essential for translating complex financial concepts into visually appealing and user-friendly designs, while also contributing to our marketing efforts, sales growth, and overall brand consistency.
Must Haves
- Experience in graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing digital and print marketing materials, plus website and user interface visual designs
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for typography, color, and layout
- Familiarity with the principles of user-centered design
- Experience in creating high-fidelity mockups and prototypes
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain design choices
- Experience with or interest in SaaS product design
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
Great to Haves
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
- Experience or interest in data visualization design
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira
