About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a Director of Project Management to join our growing professional services team and play a key role in advancing the ClearGov platform. This is a hands-on position focused on leading ClearGov’s project delivery organization, ensuring successful implementation of our software solutions for government clients. This role oversees the project management team, establishes scalable project delivery processes, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with exceptional client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will partner closely with leaders across Product, Customer Success, Engineering, and Sales to drive operational excellence, continuously improve delivery practices, and support ClearGov’s rapid growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers and Implementation Specialists.
- Establish clear performance goals, coaching, and professional development for team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client success.
- Oversee the delivery of client implementation from kick off through to go live.
- Ensure project meets defined scope, timeline and quality expectations.
- Monitor project health and intervene early to resolve risks or delays.
- Standardize project planning, resource management, and delivery frameworks.
- Design and maintain scalable project management methodologies, tools and templates.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Partner with Sales to ensure smooth project handoffs after contract signing.
- Work with Product and Engineering to escalate product gaps and implementation insights.
- Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure long-term client adoption and retention.
- Act as an escalation point for complex client engagement.
- Ensure project delivery consistently reinforces ClearGov's reputation for exceptional service.
- Maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic planning for scaling the implementation organization.
- Support forecasting of project demand and resource planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve implementation speed, scalability and profitability.
Critical Skills/Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in project management, implementation, or professional services.
- 3+ years leading and developing project management teams.
- Experience delivering SaaS implementations or technology deployments.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex client projects simultaneously.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong operational and analytical mindset.

- In the spirit of transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $130,000 - 160,000K and $150,000 - $175,000K exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at ClearGov, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, interview performance, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary for the role. Hiring beyond the base range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
