ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to own and grow relationships with our most important retail and distribution partners. You'll be the primary point of contact for major national and regional accounts, responsible for driving volume, distribution, and profitability while building the kind of long-term partnerships that make our brand a trusted name on the shelf.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on relationship-building, understands the retail beverage landscape, and knows how to turn data into a compelling story for buyers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the end-to-end relationship for a portfolio of key national/regional retail and distribution accounts
- Develop and execute account-specific business plans that deliver on volume, revenue, and share-of-shelf targets
- Lead annual negotiations covering pricing, promotional calendars, listings, and trade terms
- Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure flawless execution of account plans
- Analyze sales data, category trends, and shopper insights to identify growth opportunities and defend against competitive threats
- Present business reviews (QBRs) to senior stakeholders, both internally and with key accounts
- Forecast demand accurately to support production and inventory planning
- Identify and pursue new distribution opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
- Monitor account profitability and manage trade spend within budget
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience in key account management, preferably within the beverage, CPG, or food & beverage industry
- Proven track record managing major retail accounts (with a focus on mass and grocery)
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in trade negotiations and P&L management
- Comfortable working with sales data and category management tools (e.g., Spins, Nielsen, IRI, syndicated data)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with accounts and attend industry events
