Sales Operations Specialist

Location: Remote (Canada or United States)

Department: Sales

Reports to: Sr. Director of Sales

About Cove

Cove is a Canadian beverage brand building better-for-you drinks for everyday life in Canada and the United States. As we grow across grocery, natural, and ecommerce channels, our Sales Operations team keeps the engine running by turning data, distributor relationships, and retailer execution into results our sales team can act on.

The Role

We're looking for a Sales Operations Specialist to be the operational backbone of our sales organization in both the United States and Canada. This person will manage the systems, reporting, and relationships that keep our distributor and ecommerce business running smoothly, while also creating the sales materials our team uses to win with customers. This is a remote, cross-functional role that touches distributor management, ecommerce operations, reporting, and sales enablement.

What You'll Do

Sales Enablement & Customer Management

  • Sales presentations: Build clear, compelling sales decks and customer-facing presentations for new item pitches, line reviews, and business updates.
  • Customer management: Serve as an operational point of contact for key customer accounts, supporting order accuracy, item setup, and day-to-day account needs.

Distributor Management

  • Own day-to-day distributor operations across our network, including Kehe, UNFI, and Horizon, coordinating on item setup, ordering, inventory, and issue resolution.
  • Support KDRP (Keurig Dr Pepper) distribution partner in Canada, ensuring smooth onboarding, ordering cadence, and performance tracking.
  • Support distribution and execution for Prebiotic, Probiotic and Kombucha products across the natural channel and all other channels, tracking placement and velocity by distributor and account.
  • Manage new customer onboarding.

Ecommerce Operations

  • Manage the operational side of our ecommerce business, including Instacart, Rondel, and Amazon, by covering content, availability, promotions, and performance monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot ecommerce operational issues (listings, inventory sync, fulfillment) and coordinate fixes with platform partners and internal teams.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Run and maintain recurring sales, distribution, and velocity reports for internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Analyze sell-in and sell-through data to flag risks and opportunities across distributors, retailers, and ecommerce channels.

General Sales Operations

  • Maintain accurate customer, item, and pricing data across internal systems and distributor portals.
  • Support forecasting, order management, and trade spend tracking in partnership with sales and finance.
  • Help maintain CRM/sales systems hygiene and documentation of processes and workflows.
  • Ensure smooth customer onboarding process.
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain to keep programs and launches on track.

What You Bring

  • 2–4+ years of experience in sales operations, trade marketing, or account management, ideally in CPG or beverage.
  • Experience working with distributors (e.g., KeHE, UNFI) and/or major ecommerce platforms (Instacart, Amazon) strongly preferred.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; comfort building and maintaining recurring reports and dashboards.
  • Experience building sales presentations (PowerPoint/Google Slides) that are clear, accurate, and customer-ready.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines at once.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-moving startup environment.
  • Clear communicator who can work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with distributor portals and syndicated data tools (e.g., SPINS, Nielsen/Circana).
  • Experience supporting Kombucha, functional beverage, or natural channel brands.
  • Experience with CRM or sales operations platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Repsly).

What We Offer

  • A remote-first role with a collaborative, fast-paced team.
  • The chance to help build sales operations infrastructure at a growing Canadian beverage brand.
  • Exposure across distributor, retail, and ecommerce channels — broad, hands-on experience.
