About the Role

Join Dandy as our R&D Manager - Removables! We're on the lookout for a skilled professional to oversee the operational aspects of removable appliances. Your role will involve leveraging your technical expertise to elevate product quality, championing best practices in our labs, and actively shaping the benchmark for quality and processes. As a pivotal team member, you'll contribute to an exceptional customer experience for our doctors by leading testing, validation, production, and/or pilots at our cutting-edge R&D facility.

What You'll Do

• Act as the removable appliance expert within the company and on the R&D team

• Shaping and defining next generation design and production standards for occlusal splints and other similar appliances as well as full and partial dentures

• Help Dandy refine quality standards, communicate them to our production laboratories and design teams

• Identify changes in manufacturing and QC process to improve each lab’s product quality

• Travel to labs to observe, train, and do on-site QC to improve their product quality and implement and refine processes developed in R&D

• Lead testing, validation, production and/or pilots at our R&D facility

What We're Looking For

• Based in Carrollton, TX area

• Minimum 10 years experience as a dental technician with expertise in high esthetic and functional removable appliances

• Experience in dental CAD / CAM manufacturing

• Experience designing digital appliances (3Shape preferred)

• Empathetic - able to connect well with other people and understand the customer’s pain points

• Strong computer skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to problem solve independently

• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining superior quality standards for every case

Bonus Points For

• CDT certification from NADL

• Experience and deep understanding of subtractive and additive manufacturing equipment and processes

• All-on-x experience

• You have experience building out manufacturing or quality control processes

• Outstanding professional references to share
