Position Summary

The EHS Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This role will serve as a subject matter expert, driving a strong safety culture, reducing risks, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the company’s EHS program, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

  • Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and environmental impact reviews to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

  • Lead investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports, determine root causes, and ensure effective corrective/preventive measures are implemented.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and inquiries.

  • Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics and trends to leadership, recommending improvements where necessary.

  • Partner with operations, quality, and engineering teams to integrate EHS requirements into processes, equipment, and new initiatives.

  • Drive employee engagement in EHS initiatives through communication, training, safety committees, and recognition programs.

  • Manage hazardous waste, chemical inventories, and environmental compliance reporting.

  • Stay current with changes in EHS regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in EHS roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.

  • Demonstrated experience leading safety programs, audits, and investigations.

  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
