About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and people-driven Senior Manager to lead operations for our Dental Design Center (DDC) in Egypt. In this role, you’ll oversee a team of 500+ skilled CAD/CAM Designers responsible for producing high-quality dental restorations that meet our global standards of excellence.
You’ll own the day-to-day operations of the Egypt site — managing performance, quality, staffing, and engagement — while partnering closely with global leaders across Operations, Product, Training, HR, and Engineering. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments and is passionate about developing people, improving processes, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee all daily operations for the Egypt Dental Design Center, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of dental restoration designs.
Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and workload allocation to meet productivity and customer delivery goals.
Track and manage site-level KPIs related to quality, output, and efficiency; identify and resolve performance gaps proactively.
Partner with global operations and workforce planning to align resources with business demand.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local labor regulations.
Define and own the future workforce strategy in Egypt
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of managers, team leads, and CAD/CAM designers.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
Conduct regular performance reviews, identify top talent, and develop succession plans.
Partner with HR and Training teams to support onboarding, upskilling, and continuous learning initiatives.
Quality & Process Improvement
Implement standardized workflows, QA programs, and design review processes to ensure consistency across output.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve tools, systems, and automation supporting design accuracy and efficiency.
Identify process bottlenecks and lead initiatives that improve cycle times, reduce rework, and elevate quality.
Champion Lean and continuous improvement principles across the design center.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the primary liaison between the Egypt DDC and global Operations, HR, and Product teams.
Support the rollout of global initiatives, tools, and new product workflows at the site level.
Provide feedback and insights from the Egypt team to inform global process and workforce strategies.
Partner with global leadership on business continuity planning and resource scalability.
Culture & Engagement
Build and sustain a positive, inclusive culture that supports engagement, innovation, and excellence.
Drive employee engagement initiatives that increase retention and satisfaction.
Promote open communication and collaboration between Egypt-based teams and HQ stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
8+ years of experience in operations or workforce management, ideally within high-volume, service, or tech-enabled environments.
Demonstrated success leading large teams (100+ employees) in a production or design setting.
Strong operational background with expertise in performance management, process optimization, and quality control.
Skilled people leader with experience developing managers and building high-performing teams.
Data-driven and comfortable using metrics and analytics to inform decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
Based in Egypt with the ability to work onsite daily.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in digital manufacturing, CAD/CAM design, or dental/medical production environments.
Background in engineering, operations management, or a related technical discipline.
Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
