Founding Strategy & Finance Lead
We’re hiring a Founding Strategy & Finance Lead to help us operationalize the financial and strategic backbone of Ekho as we scale. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role that sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and GTM—ideal for a sharp thinker who thrives in ambiguity and wants to help build the engine of a generational company.
Position Overview
You’ll work directly with our CEO and play a foundational role in shaping how we track performance, model the business, and execute complex projects that don’t fit neatly into any one function. You’ll own internal financial modeling, help prepare materials for our board and investors, drive operational automation across sales and CS, and lead high-stakes projects that span regulation, product, and GTM.
We’re looking for a scrappy, analytical generalist with deep finance skills, a builder’s mindset, and strong opinions on how to make systems work better. You should be just as comfortable in Excel as you are cold-calling a state agency or spinning up a go-to-market automation tool.
Required Skills & Experience
2–5+ years in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or strategy/finance at a high-growth startup
Proven experience building detailed operating models and presenting insights to senior stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong bias for action
Outstanding written communication and deck-building skills
High agency, comfort with ambiguity, and a founder-like mentality
Experience working cross-functionally with GTM and product teams
Strong proficiency with Excel/Sheets; comfort with SQL, Notion, or automation tools is a plus
Responsibilities
Own and improve Ekho’s financial models, including revenue forecasting, scenario analysis, and customer-level reporting
Build monthly investor and board updates alongside the CEO
Lead strategic projects across the business—whether that’s scoping a new pricing model, navigating a regulatory hurdle, or standing up a new function
Help automate and scale internal workflows across sales, success, and finance
Track and report KPIs across departments to ensure operational accountability
Work directly with the CEO on investor relations, fundraising materials, and internal OKR tracking
Serve as a utility player for high-priority initiatives that don’t have a clear owner elsewhere on the team
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in venture-backed or fast-scaling startups
Familiarity with HubSpot, Looker, or similar tools
Technical or product curiosity—bonus points for light coding or systems thinking
A passion for vehicles, marketplaces, or enabling the future of commerce
Desire to grow into a senior operating or finance leadership role
