Developer Relations Lead

Role Overview

As the Developer Relations leader for GibsonAI, you will be the vital bridge between our technical teams and the developer community using our AI-powered database solutions. You'll champion our platform's capabilities, nurture our developer ecosystem, and ensure that engineers can successfully integrate GibsonAI into their projects. Your work will directly impact developer adoption of our platform and inform our product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute a comprehensive developer relations strategy that showcases the power of GibsonAI's database infrastructure for AI coding workflows
• Engage with developers in GibsonAI’s communities including our social accounts, Discord, and other owned channels.
• Create and maintain technical content including documentation, tutorials, and code samples that demonstrate how to effectively use GibsonAI in projects
• Identify key communities where our target personas congregate and communicate and authentically participate in conversations there.
• Identify and pursue key influencers to create content, partnerships, or sponsorships with
• Build a repeatable system to solicit, compile, and synthesize developer feedback to assist in prioritizing our product roadmap
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create consistent messaging around GibsonAI's database capabilities
• Stay current with trends in AI, database technology, and serverless infrastructure

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or technical community management
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in database design, backend development, or related fields
• Familiarity with AI technologies, particularly in the context of developer tools or infrastructure
• Experience with database technologies, API development, and data modeling concepts
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Experience creating technical content such as documentation, tutorials, and sample applications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud databases, serverless architectures, and CLI tools
• Familiarity with AI agents and conversational interfaces for technical workflows
• Understanding of data migration challenges and integration patterns
• Experience with developer tooling for database management and deployment
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices for database access
• Active participation in developer communities focused on backend development or databases
