The Opportunity

We’re looking for an HR Coordinator who’s ready to build — not just manage — the people engine behind one of the fastest-growing healthtech companies in the country. You’ll help define how we attract, grow, and retain exceptional talent across both our Boston HQ and our manufacturing hub in Peoria.

This is a chance to architect HR systems from the ground up: from recruiting and onboarding to training, performance management, and culture. You’ll work directly with Hike’s leadership team to design programs that scale our people processes as we grow from dozens to hundreds of employees.

Core Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting

  • Build and manage full-cycle recruiting across technical, manufacturing, and operational roles.

  • Partner with hiring managers to define job profiles, source candidates, and manage interview pipelines.

  • Create consistent hiring processes that balance speed with quality and culture fit.

Onboarding & Training

  • Design and execute scalable onboarding programs that integrate new hires quickly and effectively.

  • Develop training and development plans for manufacturing, operations, and HQ roles.

  • Partner with department heads to define skill matrices and growth pathways.

Performance Management

  • Establish and manage systems for performance reviews, goal setting, and feedback.

  • Coach managers on best practices for employee development and accountability.

  • Track and report people metrics to leadership, identifying trends and opportunities.

Culture, Engagement & Compliance

  • Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and reinforce Hike’s mission-driven culture.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, especially across multi-state operations.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters.

What We’re Looking For

We’re less interested in traditional HR checklists and more in people who want to build world-class teams and systems from the ground up.

Strong candidates will bring:

  • 5–10+ years of experience in HR, people operations, or organizational development.

  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, production, or similar multi-site environments.

  • Proven ability to design and implement HR processes (recruiting, onboarding, performance, etc.).

  • Exceptional communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and a bias toward action.

  • A passion for building culture in fast-scaling, high-performance environments.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with HR tech tools (ATS, LMS, performance software).

  • Prior startup or high-growth company experience.

  • SHRM or PHR certification.
