About the Role

The Inventory Control, Quality Assurance, and Inbound Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, process compliance, and operational excellence within the Fulfillment Center. This role oversees on-site management of these functions and partners closely with stakeholders to identify gaps, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high standards of service. Acting as a key link between on-site Operations and corporate teams, this role supports accurate inventory management, efficient issue resolution, and consistent execution of operational processes.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitor, measure, and analyze KPIs related to inventory accuracy, quality, service levels, and transaction integrity; provide actionable insights and proactive feedback to Operations and Fulfillment Center leadership.

  • Lead planning, forecasting, and prioritization efforts related to inventory control and quality initiatives, including assigning and directing work as needed to meet operational goals.

  • Review customer defect data, inventory discrepancies, and process issues to identify trends and perform root cause and cause-and-effect analysis; develop and execute corrective action plans.

  • Create and execute daily, weekly, and monthly action plans to improve inventory integrity, quality performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Partner closely with Fulfillment Center leadership to communicate inventory control and quality assurance policies, ensure compliance, and support consistent execution across teams.

  • Drive continuous process improvements that support scalability, operational excellence, and the ability of teams to keep pace with rapid growth.

  • Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of inventory systems, fulfillment processes, and upstream/downstream workflows to support effective problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between corporate teams and Fulfillment Center Operations, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and timely issue resolution.

  • Investigate, manage, and escalate issues related to receiving errors, inventory variances, and data integrity gaps, including issues that fall outside standard receiving processes.

  • Support leaders and associates through clear communication, direction, and status updates while helping reinforce accountability, engagement, and retention across the team.

How We Know You Can Do It

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience leading and supervising managers and hourly associates within Inventory Control and/or Quality Assurance operations in a fulfillment or distribution center environment.

  • Strong commitment to employee development, engagement, and performance, with demonstrated ability to motivate teams and support retention in fast-paced operations.

  • 3+ years of experience using Excel or similar tools for reporting, tracking, and data analysis.

  • Proven ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable operational improvements.

  • Deep understanding of inventory placement, accuracy, integrity, and optimization principles.

  • Strong analytical, root-cause, and problem-solving skills, including experience performing cause-and-effect analysis in complex operational environments.

  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills; able to multi-task, prioritize, and perform effectively in deadline-driven, rapidly evolving, and sometimes ambiguous environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with peers, leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders at varying levels of seniority within an operations organization.

  • Experience working in fulfillment, receiving, inventory, quality, or operations support functions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and NetSuite (or comparable ERP and inventory systems).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey data-driven insights and operational direction.

  • Ability to quickly learn, adopt, and apply new systems, tools, and processes.

  • Knowledge of and experience applying Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
