About the position
Lumen’s Marketing Team is looking for an experienced and creative Director of Communications. In this pivotal role, you’ll be managing the PR, Content, Social and Brand arms of the Lumen Marketing team, working with your team to execute narratives that position the company as the #1 leader in metabolic health, while also ensuring we look the part.
Reporting directly to the CMO, your day to day will consist of promoting our brand narrative through engaging, business-driven content across earned channels. This is a unique opportunity to define and tell the story of metabolic health, significantly contributing to our strategic comms initiatives and overall business success.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all external content creation and initiatives - PR, Content, Branding, Social Media and more.
- Support our company’s global media relations initiatives in key markets, including the US, UK, and Israel, managing an in-house PR leader along with external agencies. Ensure pitches are eye-catching and data-driven.
- Create and execute a content strategy with your team, consisting of engaging content for user acquisition and retention, thought leadership, and overall positioning.
- Drive powerful narratives on social media channels, potentially opening new ones that cater to our target audience.
- Work with our Data team to pull insights on consumer behavior and weave them into all marketing initiatives - from press, and earned speaking opportunities to infographics, landing pages, reports and more.
- Stay on top of the latest trends in our industry, flagging relevant news to teams while also practicing “newsjacking” and trending stories.
- Own our speaking and awards program, submitting entries to key organizations and events.
- Collaborate with teams across the company, including Product, Sales, and more.
- Own influencers and brand ambassador programs from planning to execution.
- Identify additional company spokespeople, as well as third-party spokespeople, to ensure a healthy amount of potential individuals who can speak publicly on Lumen’s behalf.
- Ensure product visuals are aligned with the brand and suitable for content, PR and socials.
- Define and track key KPIs for brand awareness, media reach, social engagement, and content performance.
- Develop and evolve Lumen’s brand voice and positioning strategy across markets to drive long-term brand equity.
- Support internal communications initiatives to align employees with company mission, product updates, and milestones.
- 8-10 years experience in a PR/communications/content role ideally in a global B2C organization and/or startup/and or health & wellness organization
- Experience working and presenting to C-level management
- Native English speaker, a must
- Management experience, a must
- Excellent writing and editorial skills
- Excellent project management skills

- Experience working with influencers and/or brand ambassadors, and managing these relationships - a plus
- A passion for health tech, wellness, or consumer science-based products is preferred
