Ollie
What You'll Do:
Lead the packaging workstream for New Product Launches, serving as the technical lead from concept to commercialization while ensuring all solutions are validated, sourced, and ready for market on schedule.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Food Scientists, Process Engineering, and Marketing, to translate product requirements into high-performance packaging that protects product quality and enhances the customer experience.
Analyze member feedback and performance data to identify and execute re-engineering projects that improve durability, cold-chain integrity, and the physical "unboxing" experience.
Develop and refine material specifications in collaboration with FSQA and R&D to ensure all packaging meets rigorous functional standards, food safety requirements, and performance targets.
Incorporate eco-friendly materials and waste-reduction strategies into all new and existing projects, ensuring Ollie’s sustainability objectives are met without compromising cost-effectiveness or reliability.
Identify and implement high-impact cost savings projects through material optimization, rightsizing, and improved pallet utilization across the entire supply chain.
Work closely with external vendors and partners to define technical requirements and manage specification performance, ensuring materials support competitive sourcing and consistent manufacturing standards.
Summarize packaging development activities and results, effectively transferring technical knowledge to fulfillment centers and external partners to ensure "in-spec" handling and storage.
Travel between fulfillment centers and supplier sites to verify packaging performance, troubleshoot line efficiencies, and audit the implementation of new materials or designs.
