We are seeking a strategic leader to scale our financial infrastructure and oversee our global operations.
Role Summary: The Manager, Financial Operations will lead the end-to-end financial lifecycle for our global clients. You will be responsible for the integrity of our cash reconciliation processes, the evolution of our financial tech stack, and the management of client relationships. This is a leadership role designed for a professional who can blend core finance and accounting expertise with operational excellence and processes improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight of Reconciliation Statements: Manage the weekly and monthly complexities related to client cash reconciliations, ensuring accuracy across sales, payments, and supply cost data on a global scale.
Financial Architecture & Automation: Lead the design and implementation of enhancements in Excel, Tableau, and other ERP tools to transition manual processes into scalable, automated workflows.
Global Treasury & Reconciliation: Oversee the reconciliation of payment processors settled cash against global bank balances, managing multi-currency complexities and FX strategies.
Team Leadership & Onboarding: Manage the onboarding of new clients, currencies, and international sales territories, ensuring the FinOps team is equipped to handle rapid growth.
Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support the cash reconciliation processes as well as work with our product team to automate these models outside of excel.
Key Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in eCommerce and/or international financial operations.
Global Fluency: Proven experience managing multi-currency transactions and complex FX conversions.
Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing professional staff and leading cross-functional projects in a remote setting.
Excel Mastery: Ability to architect complex Excel-based solutions.
Accounting Experience: Experience managing complex accounting entries and reconciliations
Nice to Have:
Platform Expertise: knowledge of eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, Magento) and global payment processors (Paypal, Klarna, Afterpay, Stripe).
Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data visualization (Tableau); ability to architect complex Excel-based solutions.
