The position
At point.me, our vision is to be the best in the world at understanding the loyalty space and translating that understanding into real-time actionable insights for our customers. We’re building a new team dedicated to loyalty data to help us achieve this vision, and we’re looking for an experienced leader to join us. As the Director of Loyalty Data, you will own the strategy and execution for this new team, growing it from the ground up and ensuring its work directly contributes to customer value and company growth. You will report directly to the VP of Product & Engineering, and will play a key role in helping us create differentiated products and experiences.
This is a leadership role, with commensurate responsibility and compensation. The anticipated salary range is $193,500 to $236,500 in addition to significant equity. Specific compensation will be determined based on your level of experience.
We are a fully remote and distributed team, but you must be eligible to work in United States.
Who You Are
You are an experienced data leader with a track record of success in building and scaling data functions in high-growth environments. You thrive at the intersection of data engineering, data science, and strategy, and you’re excited by the opportunity to lead a cross-functional team tackling some of the hardest problems in loyalty data. The following experiences and competencies are ideal for this role:

Team Builder: You have experience leading and growing cross-functional teams, including data engineers and data scientists. You know how to develop talent and foster a collaborative team culture.

Technical Expertise: You have deep experience in data engineering and data science, and you’re comfortable designing data architecture from the ground up. You’ve led efforts to go from 0 to 1 in data capabilities, and you understand the complexities of real-time data ingestion, transformation, and delivery in production.

Strategic Thinker: You have a demonstrated ability to develop and execute a data strategy that drives business value. You know how to incorporate revenue drivers into your work to create both customer value and company growth.

Domain Curiosity: You're excited to dive deep into the world of award availability and pricing and to leverage that understanding to generate insights and create value for our customers.
What You'll Do

Own the Loyalty Data Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a strategic vision for loyalty data, ensuring that the team’s work aligns with company goals and delivers customer value.

Grow and Lead the Team: Build a high-performing cross-functional team that includes data engineering, data science, and subject matter expertise. Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

Develop Data Capabilities: Build real-time data capabilities that ingest award availability and pricing, combine it with other data from the loyalty space and about our customers, transform it to generate insights, and surface those insights to our customers. Work with your team to develop increasingly intelligent models to provide personalized recommendations.

Translate Insights into Value: Collaborate with product, engineering, and other teams to ensure that loyalty data insights are integrated into our product offerings, driving both customer engagement and revenue growth.
