About the Role:

RentRedi is seeking a VP of Finance to lead financial operations, optimize unit economics, and ensure we scale efficiently. You’ll partner closely with the CEO and leadership team while rolling up your sleeves to improve how finance actually works day-to-day.

We run lean. That’s intentional. You’ll be both the strategic leader and the operator making it happen.

What You’ll Do:

  • Improve Gross Margins
  • Analyze cost structure across the business (support, onboarding, payment processing, partnerships)
  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce cost to serve
  • Bring visibility to unit economics and margin by customer segment
  • Own Financial Operations
  • Ensure accurate, timely month-end close and reporting
  • Build and maintain clean, scalable financial workflows and controls
  • Oversee accounting, compliance, and audit readiness
  • Drive Financial Discipline
  • Implement rigorous budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Create clear KPIs and dashboards that drive decision-making
  • Hold teams accountable to financial performance and efficiency targets
  • Manage Headcount & Resource Allocation
  • Partner with leadership to ensure hiring aligns with ROI and growth
  • Evaluate team structure and productivity across the organization
  • Help us scale without unnecessary bloat
  • Lead Strategic Finance & Deal Analysis
  • Evaluate potential acquisitions, partnerships, and investments
  • Build models to assess ROI, payback periods, and long-term value
  • Support capital allocation decisions with clear financial insight
  • Build a Lean, High-Impact Finance Team
  • Hire and manage selectively—only where leverage is clear
  • Develop a culture of ownership, speed, and precision

What We Need:

  • 10+ years of experience across finance, accounting, and FP&A
  • Strong operator mindset—you don’t just analyze, you execute
  • Experience improving margins and driving efficiency in a SaaS or fintech business
  • Deep understanding of financial systems, workflows, and controls
  • Proven ability to scale a company without overbuilding teams
  • Strong modeling, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience with M&A or deal analysis is a major plus
