We’re building a brand that extends far beyond the shelf. This is an opportunity to help shape the voice, vibe, and internet presence of Slate by creating content that is entertaining, culturally relevant, and unmistakably on-brand. You’ll help define what Slate looks and feels like online, building a brand and community that people genuinely want to follow, engage with, and be part of.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Content Creator to lead a 30-day short-form content sprint (with potential to extend into an ongoing role).

This isn’t a typical “make 20 videos and move on” role.

You’ll own the full content loop, from ideation and shooting to editing, posting, and community engagement. You’ll explore what actually works for Slate on TikTok and Reels while acting as the brand’s eyes and ears on the internet.

We’re looking for someone who spots trends early, understands what people are actually paying attention to, and knows how to turn those moments into content that feels native to Slate.

We want someone with strong instincts, strong taste, and a point of view.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and create ~20 high-performing short-form videos per month
  • Develop a 30-day content calendar aligned with campaigns and product priorities
  • Concept, shoot, and edit TikTok-first content (with cross-posting for IG Reels & YouTube Shorts)
  • Write engaging captions
  • Spot trends early and turn them into Slate-native content quickly
  • Test hooks, formats, storylines, and creative ideas to figure out what performs
  • Engage with the community through TikTok comments & DMs
  • Work directly with the marketing team to shape content strategy and creative direction
  • Deliver content in organized batches for review

Deliverables

  • 20 fully edited short-form videos
  • 20 platform-native captions
  • 30-day content calendar
  • Weekly check-ins with the Slate marketing team
  • ~3–5 hours/week of TikTok community management

What We’re Looking For

  • Deeply plugged into internet culture (what’s trending now and what’s about to trend next)
  • Strong understanding of what makes content convert, not just go viral
  • Proven experience creating and editing short-form content for TikTok/Reels
  • Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, retention, and storytelling
  • Ability to translate a brand voice into content that feels natural
  • A distinct creative POV, not just someone who copies trends
  • Comfortable moving quickly and testing ideas often
  • Strong editing skills (CapCut and/or Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Organized, collaborative, and reliable
