The Challenge to Solve

Help bring the stories of independent pizzerias and the power of Slice to life through expertly crafted, emotionally engaging video content.

The Role

Slice is looking for a story-driven Video Editor to join our newly forming, in-house video production team. Working under the direction of the Head of Video, this person will play a critical role in shaping raw footage into finished pieces that elevate our brand and move our audience. From product explainers to customer stories, your edits will help inform, inspire, and connect. You’ll collaborate closely with broader teams to ensure each piece of content delivers a clear message, reflects our tone, and meets platform and campaign goals. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of narrative structure, a sharp visual eye, and the technical skills to produce polished work with efficiency.

You’ll drive impact through responsibilities like:

• Review and organize footage, identify key narrative beats, and cut compelling stories from both scripted and unscripted material
• Edit short- and long-form video content across a range of use cases, including episodic video series, product explainers, social campaigns, and digital advertising
• Collaborate with producers and the Head of Video to shape the structure, tone, and pacing of each piece
• Incorporate brand-approved motion graphics, titles, and other visual treatments
• Prep final deliverables for various formats (YouTube, Instagram, website, paid media, etc.)
• Stay on top of editing trends, video formats, and best practices for different platforms
• Maintain organized project files and naming conventions for collaborative workflows
• Occasionally assist with color correction, sound mixing, and other finishing tasks

The Winning Recipe

We’re looking for someone who combines creative instinct with technical precision and thrives in a fast-moving production environment. You should bring:

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience (agency, in-house, or freelance)
• Strong portfolio showcasing both narrative and branded content
• Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and proficiency in After Effects
• Strong storytelling instincts and an ability to edit unscripted content into coherent, emotional narratives
• Understanding of color correction, sound design, and pacing
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and hit deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• A passion for championing local businesses and telling real human stories

Salary Range: $65-80k + benefits

The Hiring Process
