Third Space Therapy combines the independence of private practice with the support of a group setting, focused on expanding Medicaid-covered behavioral healthcare.

We're looking for passionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care to the Medicaid population. We handle the administrative side — scheduling, billing, insurance — so you can focus on care.

Why clinicians work with us

  • Complete Flexibility: Choose your work hours, appointment settings, and client load with our telehealth system, balancing professional autonomy with personal needs

  • Administrative Support: Our team manages all scheduling, insurance, billing, and credentialing tasks, allowing you to focus solely on client care

  • Robust Referral Network: Build a diverse caseload through our connections with insurers, universities, and community providers

  • Remote Practice Model: Enjoy the independence of private practice with the backing of a group — from wherever you work

  • Competitive Compensation: Earn meaningfully for the clinical work you deliver

  • Meaningful work. Make a real difference for Medicaid members and help close gaps in access to care

  • Optional peer consultation. Connect with other independent clinicians in the network when you'd like a second perspective.

What you'll bring

  • An active, unrestricted PMHNP license in good standing in the state of Missouri

  • National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)

  • Prescriptive authority and an active DEA registration

  • Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and prescribing psychotropic medications (under supervision or independently)

  • Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other digital tools

  • A quiet, HIPAA-compliant home office setup for confidential virtual sessions

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is preferred, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus

We’re looking for providers who bring

  • Strong clinical judgment in managing psychiatric conditions across diverse populations

  • A patient-centered approach to medication management and treatment planning

  • Experience collaborating with therapists and other providers as part of a multidisciplinary care team

  • Commitment to equity in mental health access for Medicaid populations
