About the Role:
As a Talent Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping us build a truly great company. The Talent Specialist is a strategic role responsible for shaping the workforce and culture of our company. Responsibilities of this role span determining and implementing strategies to attract, recruit, hire, onboard, engage, develop, and retain talent. As a part of the People Product and Implementation team, you will also lead and manage the operationalization of People Team products to drive employee engagement, build our culture, and fuel the company’s success. You will work with a talented team of individuals who are passionate about building a world-class technology platform and creating a unique launchpad for brand success.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Listening and Engagement: Cultivate a thriving workplace by leading the implementation of feedback mechanisms including our engagement survey, other pulse surveys and employee listening sessions. Regularly facilitate employee listening sessions to gather feedback to truly understand employee sentiment. Analyze results, share insights, and determine actions to drive engagement, shape our culture, enhance People Team products, and build workplace processes & policies. Respond to inquiries and educate employees on Talent Management topics, policies and programs.
  • Build a Culture of Belonging: Determine strategies to continuously improve our employee value proposition. Implement and manage programs to build a culture and create an environment where employees feel they belong and are valued, understood, and motivated, driving both individual and company success.
  • Employee Development: Develop and/or curate, implement, and manage learning solutions and paths, learning technologies, and on-the-job performance support resources to elevate the performance of employees and build skills to help individuals and teams succeed.
  • Policy Guidance: Lead the development and implementation of policy information and procedures. Create guidelines, standards, and processes to create clarity for employees, promote fairness, and build a more equitable workplace.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Enhance and develop more efficient reporting across all Talent Management areas of focus to guide decision-making. Analyze data to inform our workforce strategies and determine actions to continuously improve our employee experience.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Determine opportunities to promote DEI in the workplace and ensure our processes and practices are unbiased and inclusive. Lead the completion of an annual DEI assessment, analyze results and benchmarks, and determine actions to continue to build DEI practices into our flow of work. Lead DEI awareness-building initiatives and manage program implementation.
  • Performance Success: Work collaboratively with other members of the People Team to continuously raise our high-performance bar. Determine additional strategies and practices to develop and implement to grow our Performance Success muscle. Implement and manage the 280 feedback tool and reporting to cultivate a feedback mindset across the company. Determine ways to improve and enhance recognition practices. Lead the implementation and management of recognition programs.
  • Community Building & Events: Brainstorm, organize, and lead community events. Work collaboratively with departments to plan and execute team summits.
  • Employee Enablement: Support the People team’s ticketing inbound queue in Zendesk. Responsible for ensuring People tickets are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Recruiting and Onboarding: Support the implementation of recruiting and onboarding processes and programs to attract, hire, and help new team members get off to a great start. Determine areas for continuous improvement and implement strategies to improve our processes and programs in alignment with the company’s strategic direction. Ensure a positive and engaging experience for all candidates and new hires.
  • Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring to the Party

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Organizational Development, or a Human Relations related field. Human Relations-related certifications a plus.
  • Proven track record in one or more strategic HR roles, including talent acquisition, learning & development, organizational design, employee listening, diversity & inclusion, culture building & engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, design, implement, and manage strategic initiatives.
  • Passion for people and building a high-performance culture.
  • 2+ years of high-volume HR experience, preferably in a global shared services team.
  • Experience working with multiple time zones and countries.
  • Detail and data-oriented with impeccable follow through.
  • Strong interest in process improvement.
  • Impeccable judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and processes, especially Workday.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with spreadsheets, Google Gmail/Docs, mail merges, and Slack.
  • Nice to Have: Experience in startup culture - comfortable with ambiguity and non-stop problem-solving, building, and action.
  • High degree of business and leadership acumen, maturity, and a self-directed style.
  • Proactive thinking, exceptional judgment, and a strong vision of what is possible.
  • Strong leadership, project, and team management abilities.
  • Proven ability to multitask, problem solve, work independently, and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, collaboration, and solution design skills.
  • Advanced communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for data and making data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to pivot and reprioritize.
