About the Role
We are seeking a Supplier Relations & Buying Manager to manage our procurement strategies for Angry Orange and play a critical role in its growth. This role is responsible for end-to-end inventory management, including forecasting, purchasing, production planning, transportation, and managing inventory within Amazon and other channels. As the single point of contact for supplier relations, you will own supplier relationships, cost negotiations, and ensure streamlined procurement processes, supporting the implementation of strategic sourcing and promoting operational efficiency. In this role you will also oversee supplier performance.

USA Remote, involves travel to suppliers (estimated 4 weeks per year)
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier & Vendor Management
- Develop and implement sourcing plans aligned with the Angry Orange strategic growth plan
- Negotiate product costs for new products and pursue regular cost negotiations for existing products
- Manage supplier performance and mitigate supply base risks
- Set forecasts, purchase, and production plans
- Build strong supplier relationships and act as a single point of contact for all Angry Orange sourcing and supplier-related matters
- Inventory & Procurement Strategy
- Develop and maintain an informed point of view on the cost trade offs of purchasing “finished good” product versus owning the end-to-end supply chain (i.e. purchasing raw materials and components)
- Oversee inventory forecasting, planning, and transportation management, particularly for Amazon and other key channels, ensuring availability and optimal stock levels
- Support new product launches and quality initiatives, ensuring that procurement aligns with Angry Orange’s goals and meets Thrasio’s high standards
- Drive optimization, simplification, and cost-savings through strategic sourcing initiatives
- Contract Administration & Supplier KPIs
- Review and negotiate master agreements, NDAs, SOWs, and execute amendments and renewals
- Establish supplier KPIs to monitor contract compliance, ensure adherence, and take corrective actions to improve compliance with internal and external standards
- Track supplier KPIs, including OOS %, Days of Supply (DOS), lead time, and COGS, while supporting compliance activities related to product sourcing and regulatory standards

What You Bring to the Party
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 5+ years experience in sourcing, buying, vendor management, and supplier relations
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cost-saving initiatives
- Proficiency with NetSuite and prior experience in Amazon inventory management is preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with a high level of independence and ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

We believe that all employees should be paid fairly and equitably. As of the time of this posting, the expected base annual salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. (For non-exempt roles, this reflects the expected base annual “salary” as calculated by the base hourly wage multiplied by the expected number of hours worked over a one year period, excluding any overtime and premiums.) The actual base annual salary will be based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the base annual salary range information set forth above is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed above may reflect that breadth. If offered a position, the actual base annual salary will be contained in your offer letter.
In addition to the base annual salary listed above, this position is eligible for short-term [and long-term] incentive compensation, as well as benefits, which are subject to the applicable plans, policies and definitive documentation regarding such compensation and benefits.
