The Role

The Senior FP&A Analyst - Commercial, is a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, directly supporting the Commercial (sales, marketing & category insights) organization and serving as an integral data resource and thought partner to the brand business leaders and teams. The Senior FP&A Analyst - Commercial drives commercial excellence by analyzing sales and commercial data to deliver actionable insights and unlock revenue potential for current business, as well as new and nascent initiatives and business development opportunities. This position has the potential to significantly add to the company’s top and bottom line through business case generation and other high-priority analyses. The Senior FP&A Analyst - Commercial reports to the Director, Commercial Finance.

Success in the role requires the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial setting, embody the drive and skill set necessary to serve as a business partner, provide financial and operational analytic support, lead cross-functional projects and the analysis of financial and operational data, and summarize and

communicate business results to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial support and insights on trade spend, pricing, customer profitability, and promotional effectiveness

  • Lead the monthly forecast process for revenue, trade, and marketing spend, incorporating inputs from commercial partners and tracking variances to plan

  • Assist, build and provide analytical reporting on revenue and contribution margin P&L by brand by segment

  • Develop and enhance reporting dashboards and tools to monitor performance against key metrics (e.g., net sales, gross-to-net, ROI, ACOS)

  • Support the annual operating plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and long-range strategic planning cycles

  • Conduct scenario analysis and business case modeling for new product launches, channel expansions, and promotional programs

  • Assist with month-end close activities related to revenue and trade marketing accruals in partnership with Accounting

  • Continuously improve planning processes, tools, and reporting frameworks

  • Prepare presentations and insights for senior leadership and investor reporting as needed


What You Bring to the Party:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting economics, or related field, MBA or CPA a plus

  • 3-5 years of related FP&A/commercial analyst experience, preferably in consumer goods, retail or a related industry

  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills

  • Advanced Excel & SQL experience required. VBA, Python a plus; experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP) and planning tools (eg. Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, PowerBI, Looker) a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines within a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a high degree of accuracy

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, coordinate the efforts of others, as well as work well with people of a wide range of levels

  • Continually seeking new perspectives and feedback, taking an inclusive approach and engaging diverse points of view

We believe that all employees should be paid fairly and equitably. As of the time of this posting, the expected base annual salary range for this position is $93,000 to $100,000. (For non-exempt roles, this reflects the expected base annual “salary” as calculated by the base hourly wage multiplied by the expected number of hours worked over a one year period, excluding any overtime and premiums.) The actual base annual salary will be based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the base annual salary range information set forth above is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed above may reflect that breadth. If offered a position, the actual base annual salary will be contained in your offer letter.
In addition to the base annual salary listed above, this position is eligible for short-term [and long-term] incentive compensation, as well as benefits, which are subject to the applicable plans, policies and definitive documentation regarding such compensation and benefits.
