Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to ensure timely month-end close, associated reporting requirements to leadership and external parties, and operational efficiency. This role reports directly to the Manager, Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
This role is responsible for several recurring and specialized accounting tasks, including (but not limited to) the following:
Maintain the Company’s prepaid expense register; reconcile and book monthly amortization entries.
Ensure accurate recognition for marketing expenses by communicating with other departments and recording entries as necessary.
Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to reconcile prepaid balances used for marketing expenses.
Prepare entries to record credit card expenses. Review for accuracy and determine appropriate allocation.
Prepare and perform the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including other current assets and similar accounts.
Review and approve journal entries relating to banking transactions (including, but not limited to, sweep transfers, incoming cash transactions, fund transfers, payments processed outside of Accounts Payable, interest payments, service fees, intercompany transactions, capitalized legal costs for trade names and patents, etc.
Review and approve bank reconciliations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an e-commerce or CPG environment.
Expertise with accounting software and ERP systems; preferred systems include NetSuite, BlackLine, and Worksuite.

Outstanding attention to detail and high level of accuracy; ability to deliver timely, accurate results as scheduled and needed
Analytical thinker who can quickly understand information and needs across a variety of products, channels, technologies, and disciplines.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills; strong collaborator across functions.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team of motivated employees.
Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify ideas and approaches that enhance efficiency and performance
Proficient with Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and Google Workspace applications.
