The Company

Workweek is a media & technology company on a mission to connect, inform, and inspire professionals by intertwining unique insights with personality, community with technology, and productivity with fun.

In short, we do 2 things:

  1. First, we build media brands focused on specific business verticals that are driven by individual content creators (For example, I Hate It Here is an HR media brand driven by content created by our Chief People Officer Hebba Youssef)

  2. Then, we launch professional communities for those media brands’ audiences with the goal of fostering connection & growth for those professionals in their careers (For example, the Safe Space community, which is made up of members of the I Hate It Here audience.)

Simply put, we help professionals grow in their careers by providing them with the information, network, and resources they need to thrive.

The Role

Workweek is looking for a Community Experience Manager to manage the full lifecycle and experience of members in multiple digital-first, creator-led communities. this person’s mission is to ensure our community members have a great experience.

To do this, they’ll need to:

  • Learn the mission and values of each community, as well as the general profile(s) of members (i.e. learn what types of people join the community and what value they’ll get from it)
  • Integrate themselves into each community so they can anticipate member needs and facilitate connection & learning amongst members (i.e. join Slack, answer questions, and prompt engagement)
  • Organize and facilitate virtual & live member meet-ups and discussions, including creating a cohesive event agenda, and sending invitations & reminders via Slack and email
  • Ensure all benefits offered with membership are being delivered to Members on a regular basis
  • Resolve basic customer support issues for community members

To thrive in this role, the Community Experience Manager will need to:

  • Genuinely enjoy building relationships with & crafting experiences for others,
  • Be an exceptional communicator who’s detail-oriented and able to run with projects independently, and
  • Wear multiple hats and collaborate with a variety of folks across a small team.

Note: All work can be completed remotely, but all work must be done in English and you must be available during the Central Time Zone workday.


  • Manage the full lifecycle and experience of members in our communities
  • Develop, implement, and optimize engaging & effective member onboarding experiences
  • Moderate and host monthly virtual events with creators and their communities
  • Communicate key information with community members regularly
  • Make thoughtful 1-1 introductions between community members on a regular basis
  • Be the primary point of communication with Members by sharing updates, reminders, and other key announcements
  • Collaborate with the Growth & Retention Marketing team to implement & optimize membership growth & retention campaigns
  • Collaborate with the Education team to produce pieces of content for community content libraries (ex: video transcripts, event summaries)
  • Collaborate across the Workweek team to support a cohesive membership experience


  • 1-3 years of community management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate respectfully and efficiently
  • Able to work independently on simultaneous projects without close supervision
  • Able to learn new tools and processes quickly, familiarity with Figma and Zoom, a plus
  • A proactive and positive thinker who enjoys creative problem-solving and collaboration
  • Ability to operate and represent yourself in a way that aligns with Workweek's core values
