Why This Role Is Important to Us

As a General Liability Broker within our dynamic start-up, you will play a crucial role in engaging with our Partners and showcasing how our products complement general liability (G/L) policies. While Spot does not distribute G/L policies directly, we recognize their importance to our active Partners and aim to provide comprehensive solutions. Leveraging your expertise in liability insurance and your deep understanding of the insurance landscape, you will drive growth, enhance customer Partner relationships, and shape our market position. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evolution of the insurance industry and work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


Responsibilities

  • Employ a consultative selling methodology to understand Partners’ needs, build trust, and offer tailored solutions
  • Communicate effectively and authentically with various stakeholders, including executives, to establish strong connections and drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Partners to identify challenges, analyze requirements, and develop innovative strategies that address their unique business problems
  • Showcase how our solutions can complement and enhance G/L coverage, addressing specific risk exposures and providing comprehensive protection for our Partners
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge of liability insurance to effectively communicate the value proposition of our offerings, highlighting their relevance and benefits to our Partners' operations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, and building relationships with Partners in the active and travel industries
  • Collaborate closely with our sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that effectively position our products within the market, specifically in relation to G/L policies
  • Leverage your industry expertise and market insights to identify growth opportunities, target key customer segments, and enhance our competitive edge
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and forums to promote our brand, build relationships with potential Partners, and expand our market presence
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales lifecycle, from initial inquiry to policy renewal
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing Partners, understanding their evolving needs, and proactively offering risk management advice and coverage enhancements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and workflows to optimize productivity and scalability

A Typical Day Looks Like

  • Prospect for new Partners by researching potential leads, attending networking events, or leveraging existing industry contacts
  • Effectively navigating all phases of the sales cycle while keeping CRM up to date
  • Prepare and deliver presentations or proposals to prospective Partners, showcasing Spot's value proposition and expertise
  • Negotiate Partner terms, conditions
  • Review and respond to potential Partner inquiries, emails, and messages
  • Schedule and conduct Partner meetings or calls to discuss their insurance needs, provide updates on policies, and address any concerns or questions
  • Maintain regular communication with existing Partners to nurture relationships, address service inquiries, and provide ongoing risk management advice
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of insurance products, market conditions, and risk management strategies to better serve our Partners
  • Networking within your assigned categories and/or sports - always increasing expertise and expanding influence.
  • Thoughtful, organized and effective collaboration with key internal Spot departments and partners such as Product, Compliance and Operations
