Legal Operators is the fastest-growing organization of Legal Operations professionals. Hundreds of the smartest and most successful Legal Ops experts communicate daily with each other on our partnered platform, Slack. Featuring designated channels to tackle legal operation’s most difficult areas, our members are learning and empowering each other to move Legal Operations into the next era!
Role Summary:
As the Events Manager for Legal Operators, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various events across different locations, including group dinners, virtual experiences, webinars, and supported sales initiatives. Your expertise and creativity in event management will have a significant impact on our organization, enhancing our brand image, fostering strong relationships with our members, and contributing to the overall growth of the community.
This person will work alongside the CEO and Founder of Legal Operators as well as a dedicated Salesperson to execute on all our events. Over the past twelve months we were able to complete and host in-person and virtual events while creating opportunities for our 3000+ members and in 2023 we hope to expand our events strategy. As our Events Manager, you will be critical in bringing these events to life. Ideally, you’re process-oriented, highly attentive to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a face of Legal Operators, you will have the chance to meet with our different members, manage event prep for all our speakers, and own all our systems and processes to ensure we meet our goals with each event.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Event Planning and Execution: Take the lead in planning, coordinating, and executing group dinners and various events, ensuring seamless logistics, selecting optimal venues, managing vendors, and actively engaging attendees to create exceptional experiences.
- Virtual Events Management: Oversee and manage virtual experiences, such as virtual wine tastings, fitness challenges, and webinars, employing innovative technologies to deliver captivating and interactive engagements.
- Supported Sales Initiatives: Collaborate closely with the sales team to organize and support Conferences, Golf Tournaments, Sporting events, fostering valuable client relationships and driving new business opportunities.
- Community Building: Cultivate and manage events that fortify our niche online communities, enhancing their engagement and loyalty, thereby strengthening their affinity to our brand.
- Budget and Resource Management: Assume responsibility for event budgets, efficiently allocating resources to ensure the successful execution of events within financial parameters.
- Collaboration and Communication: Forge strong collaborative ties with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of event strategies with the overarching company vision, while maintaining seamless communication throughout the event planning process.
- Performance Evaluation: Analyze event success through comprehensive post-event evaluations, capturing valuable feedback, and implementing key insights to drive continuous improvement for future events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience 3-5 years in event management, preferably in planning and executing corporate events, dinners, and virtual experiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring flawless event execution.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively.
- Creativity and innovation in event concepts and experience design, delivering memorable and engaging events.
- Experience in managing both in-person and virtual events, leveraging technology to enhance audience participation.
- Ability to work in a remote, decentralized environment, coordinating events across various locations and time zones.
- Familiarity with the legal tech industry or online community building is a plus.
